AN ACT TO CODIFY SECTION 9-7-130, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO REQUIRE THE CIRCUIT CLERK OR A DEPUTY CIRCUIT CLERK TO BE PRESENT WHENEVER THE CIRCUIT COURT IS IN SESSION; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The following shall be codified as Section 9-7-130, Mississippi Code of 1972:

9-7-130. The clerk of the circuit court or a deputy circuit clerk shall be present whenever the circuit court is in session.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1999.
